WELCOME TO WOTA CLUB DEAR MARIANA CX1JJ
Hello everybody, I am Mariana!: I've got the CX1JJ callsign in 1996, when I was about 18 years old. Before that I was working on the 27mhz band since I was 15 years old. It is there I've got the taste for DX... Shifting the higher gear (CX1JJ) just enhanced my skills. Few years later, in order to pass the category upgrade exam, I learned CW a fellow ham from my city (CX1JM - Hugo) and after I passed the test I realized that CW is my PASSION and I couldn't stop working this mode !. However, the PHONE mode is exciting because listening the voice of the ham at the other end gives you the possibility to better know that person and to spend a wonderful time talking about my topic, which I enjoy.CW/SSB - SSB/CW.
From my point of view, the operating modes cannot be compare; because they are different and beautiful at the same time, and in my case I love all of them equally.
I took part in different contests and I ENJOY A LOT feeling enthusiastic
to participate in future contests.
I love the hamradio world, their activity, and also I like so much
to improve my knowledge day by day
(in this hobby, as well as my general knowledge).
my only one.

MESSAGE FROM TERESA PT2TF !!!!

For the past years I have been trying to find other YLs on the frequencies as propagation for South America has been very poor.
The BRYLA AWARD was sent to 266 hams in 50 countries, I am proud to say.

WELCOME TO WOTA CLUB DEAR TAMMIE M3ENF
I have been licensed (along my father Ray M3ENE) since August 2003 but was very mike-shy for a couple of years. My good friend Ian M1APT helped me overcome this, and you can't get me away from the radio. I love doing contests and special events. My favourite events/contests are International Lighthouses/Lightships on the Air, CQ WW SSB and CQ WPX SSB.I Also try to take in event with my local club (Southdown Amateur Radio Society).
I am a member of BYLARA and moderator of the ILLW.net Yahoo Group.
I hope to make many YL radio friends !

CONCURSO XYL DE ESPANA 2008
Nota bene : Rules in spanish language
Que buena noticia !
Gracias a todos los organizadores por esta iniciativa
tan positiva. Por supuesto el WOTA os desea que los
participantes sean muy numerosos.
Seguro que sera un escito.
What a windfall !
Thanks to the ones who planned that great event.
Of course the WOTA wish there will be plenty of partaking.
Sure it will be a success.
WOTA Flash :
As you could read it, the "Spanish XYL Contest 2008" is only open to the EA-CT-C3 ! So even if you can't participate for the moment because it's not yet an international contest, however you can do a QSO with a Spanish YXL :-)
